SeeqPod gets an F

September 9, 2008

I had been using SeeqPod for a while now, but lately ( and I think it has something to do with all the ads they’ve festooned it with) it doesn’t work so well anymore.
I sent a complaint to their feedback solicitation page:

I used to use SeeqPod quite a bit and would encourage my colleagues to do the same (we work in radio). It was an indispensable reference tool and we could also rely on it for last minute use on the air, live.
However, for some time it hasn’t been very reliable. The interface is extremely pokey on a good day and it either won’t immediately load selections in the playlist and it often won’t play the selection once it gets there without repeatedly hitting the play button.
The ‘next’ button for search results is often problematic, as well. It will sometimes send you right back to search result page one, which is frustrating, if you’re ten or so pages deep.
And don’t even get me started on trying to select text in the search field for deletion or editing! It’s a nightmare!
I’m really disappointed in SeeqPod’s performance and can’t rely on it for much of anything, at this point. I really hope this gets ironed out at some point, because it used to be such an amazing tool!
