Radio Lost and Found for 12/11/14

Here’s a somewhat static-y recording of last night’s show, the transmitter and web stream having been conked out by a nasty windstorm. KBOO’s archiving system took a hit too, apparently, so here’s my aircheck recorded remotely at home.

I played lots of wintery songs, some Cabaret Voltaire and loads of 70s/80s German underground music from the newly released Felix Kubin-curated collection on Finders Keepers called Science Fiction Park Bundesrepublik (German Home Recording Tape Music Of The 1980s), as well as some swell compilations of similarly themed German music called Kassettentäter – Deutscher-Kassetten-Untergrund (you can find these at the wonderful Die or D.I.Y.? blog).

I also played a piece from Chris Morris‘ wonderfully caustic ambient sketch comedy show Blue Jam.

Hope the sound quality’s not too off-putting for you. It’s the only archive I was able to get of this show.
